Is a 351 Windsor engine from a 2004 f-150 a good engine to build a stroker. I want to build a 351 w stroker 408 and install in a fox body mustang. am unsure if a 2004 block is ok. Strong enough, ect. I think it is made for hydro roller lifters and that's what I would use. I know the 69-74 blocks are stronger but would this block be acceptable. Thank you

Answer:
If you are just building a stroker, it should be alright. But if you are going to have it bored too, have it checked with ultra sound first. Now I have not read the "Ford Block Casting Tech" PDF file from this link: http://www.fordracingparts.com/download/enginetips.asp But you might want to check it out along with some other files that Ford has available at the same site.
