CDL serpintine driving test whats it consist of?

  • I am going to be getting a job driving trucks class A CDL the test for knowledge air brakes Haz. Mat. and combinations I passed allready includeing physical and drug screen all thats left is the driving test I understand what backing docking roadskills pre-inspection is but there will also be a driving serpintine test could someone explane this one to me?

    Yes tim b is correct, you wiggle forward and backward thru a maze. BE very proficient when doing your PRE TRIP inspection the dot officer will be a little less strict on your driving part if you ace the pre trip. And Relax and be confident.

Seems to me that would be driving forward through a maze of cones. Sometimes the cones would be on the right other times on the left. What is worse is backing up to two cones and not backing to far beyond them or in front of them. Margin for error is next to nothing. Requires excellent depth perception while looking in rear view mirrors. Does this help any?
