How much should I bring for parking on South Street in Philly?

Do apartment Complexes are required to have disabled parking?

  • My mother who is disabled, lives in an apartment complex in Santa Clara, CA. They recently got rid of all disabled parking explaining that they don't have enough spaces for tenants. There is very little parking on the street. Sometimes I have to park very far when taking my mom to the doctor. I have to go help my mom out of her apartment and then she has to stand somewhere and wait until I bring my car around because it is extremely hard for her to walk if the car is parked far away. I talked to the manager and she told me that they do not have to have disabled parking because it's a private property. They use to have 4 or 5 disabled parking spaces and now they don't. Does anyone know if they are required to have them by law. And if they are where can I find something on the Web site that I can take to the manager. I tried to talk to the City of Santa Clara, but everyone was transferring me to someone else and I did not get a clear or any answer. Thank you. IZ

  • Answer:

I am pretty sure they have to have a spot for handicap. Call your state's Department of Transportation, they will have it situated.
