How Much is the average Reckless driving ticket in NC?

Speeding 60 in a 35 on a "open country" road in Leland, NC?

  • so i got a ticket for speeding 60 in a 35 on Highway 133 coming out of leland nc. What can i do to have my ticket reduced? plus, the ticket itself does not have the amount of the fine on it, so how do i know how much i have to pay when i go to court?? Will offering a driving course help? or would it be better to hire a lawyer? any an all info is accepted, but please make sure your info is accuarate! thanks!!

  • Answer:

25 MPH over the posted speed limit... You never know for sure what a judge will do, but I'll guess they're going to suspend your license and give you a HUGE fine. A driving course may help get your license back a bit sooner, but count on the fact that you're going to be a pedestrian for most of the summer.

Well, (if you had some one in the car) when the officer asked why you were going 60 in a 30 say 30 for me and 30 for them. Simple a guy actually got out of a ticket with that! Make sure they know how to smile.

There is not fine amount, I would assume, because they are considering taking your license off you. Offering to go on a driving course might help, as might explaining why exactly you were going nearly twice the limit, but proper legal support will definitely help.
