When is it a safe age to take a child out of a car seat/booster seat?

    Age is nothing. The recommended rules are as follows: Your child should weigh: *At least 36 kg (79 pounds) Should have a height of: *1 m 49 (4 foot 8) When both targets are reached, you can remove the booster. Age has NOTHING whatsoever to do with whether or not the child's booster is removed. Hope this has helped, Supreme One

Age has nothing to do with it. Weight dictates when your child can come out of child safety seats.

It goes by weight. 40 pounds is what the recommendation was when my son was small.

Some states go by weight and some by height. You should be able to look it up on the state police website in your state.

You should definitely make sure he is the correct weight and check where the seat belt hits his body. If it is on his neck, he is too little.
