We did the home-schooling drivers ed, and my friends that have taken the actual class drivers-ed, they had to drive with an instructor for their test. Do i have to do that too?

Nope.........its just like taking drivers ed you just take all of the needed paperwork and your parents / parent to the local dmv office after everything has be approved and after taking a eye exam, thumb prints and pay the fee you will be given a temporary permit.
