what was your experience like? did you do your test at the end of the course? Did you pass your test the first time, if not did they give you a discount on further lessons? was your instructor friendly? Im going to take a semi intensive course in october that spreads over a few weeks. Ive done my theory test already and passed so im hoping to get my licence by the end of this year the latest. ive had about 10 lessons but that was about a year ago, this is because i had started taken lessons but then went on holiday for 2 months and as soon as i returned, i started uni but didnt have money to carry on with lessons as i wasnt working. I was thinking of doing an intensive course where you learn in a week and then at the end of that week take the test, but i dont want to do that because i dont want to cram all that in at a short amount of time and also because im going to be back at uni so i dont want to have all that stress on top of my uni work.

Answer:
As an A.D.I. I am totally against these types of courses. YOU will not learn to drive in a week. The only person who benefits from this is the instructor. You pay him/her nearly £1K and spend the next 6-7 days in a car. You would be better to go over a few months and learn at a steady pace. Also, you sound as though at present you don't require the need for a driving licence until your uni course is complete. I would wait till you have either finished your course and learn to drive then, or spread the cost and the learning over a few months. If you were my child I would choose the latter. I had one girl who had been on one of these courses and as she learned after the school holidays in June, and she sat her test in October she had forget most of what she was taught. Finally, the DSA regulate the test dates and availability NOT the driving school, so I don't know how they can say go for a week and sit a test at the end of it.....
