Can driving records from Massachusetts be pulled in Arizona?

When did Massachusetts switch from driving on the left to driving on the right?

  • I was looking at a picture from the 1920s of a street in Massachusetts lined with cars. The strange thing is that all the cars facing away from the camera were on the left, and all the cars facing toward the camera were on the right. So this got me to wondering: did Massachusetts remain a keep left state until the 1920s? If so, when did Massachusetts make the switch to keeping right?

  • Answer:

The negative for the picture was probably reversed when it was printed. There was no change.

Could be the picture was developed and printed in reverse. Everything was done by hand back then, very possible.

When motor vehicles took over the road rules from the horse and buggy era. (That rule change did not happen in England and other left lane driving countries.)
