In Texas if you fail the parallel parking part of the test is the driving instructor allow to NOT let you....?

I live in Austin Texas (btw the DPS in Austin Texas is so sorry, they suck!) and I took the road test today to get my license... well the instructor was very rude... my dads car doesn't have air right and she was a ***** about the heat... well the parallel parking was first and i didn't pass that part because i need work on parallel parking, as soon as i was done with that part the instructor told me to come back Monday and try again... she didn't even let me finish the test... can she do that? i mean i can drive, i drive all the time, i just didnt think that parallel parking would make me fail the test, i didn't even get the chance to do the road part of the test!

Answer:
So why did you schedule the test when you weren't ready to take it? I don't mean to sound mean about it, but why is it the examiner's fault that you weren't prepared? But yes, to answer your question, certain things are an automatic fail. Speeding, running a stop sign, refusing to follow a lawful command, and not being able to parallel park are among those things. You may think you can drive, but until you are able to demonstrate that you can do parallel parking, you will not pass the test to get your license, so I would suggest you spend some time practicing those things you are not comfortable doing.

That is how it works in most places - if you mess up the parallel parking part, you automatically fail the whole test. There was no point in continuing.

I live in Texas and the DPS is doing a great job but the problem is your attitude at the way you look at life......you need to grow up and learn to respect people and then you will understand life.

Why do you think you START with the parallel parking? It IS a Pass/Fail thing and if you pass it THEN you move on to the Pass/Fail part of the road test. You FAILED the entire exam by failing the parking. They know more people will fail because of that so they put it first, that and then they don't have to put you on the road. You can't park and you think they want to see how you drive? You showed you can't properly control a car when you can't park, at least not properly to the point of getting a license. I don't know how it works in Texas but in PA we do the parking behind the exam center, and the cones and all that. Well you can practice after the exam center is closed, so I suggest taking that route(First our taxpayer money goes to maintain the center and second they WANT you to pass).
