What are some injuries obtained in a car crash that can cause someone to be in the ICU?

What is "quickly" recover to you? I mean they may be out of ICU after being put there overnight, but you aren't going to be in ICU and get out of the hospital too quick. I mean if you went in for surgery and were put in ICU until you stabilize then you can get out kind of quick(like with in a week, and in my case it was 4 days after being taken out), but be careful about how quick you plan to take them out of the hospital and what injuries they had. To be honest unless you know people who have been in ICU I suggest talking to some to get an idea of how long the person should be in the hospital.

I don't know how quick to recover some of these things are, but the most common injuries in wrecks that I've seen are: Broken wrists from the airbag broken ankles crushed pelvis broken ribs internal bleeding Head injuries (from concussions to actual gouges in the head) dislocation of joints and scrapes, cuts, and bruises.
