2002 pontiac grand am?

2002 Pontiac Grand AM, Service Engine Soon, ABS, and Trac Control warning lights are on?

  • I have a 2002 Pontiac Grand AM, recently when I use my brakes the front end of my car shakes terribly. This morning when I started it the Service Engine Soon, ABS, and Trac Control warning lights all came on. Any idea what the problem might be????

  • Answer:

If you are handy or know someone who is, pick up an OBD2 reader from your favorite auto parts store. It is a diagnostic scan tool. It will narrow down your issues. You may have an abs sensor or wire that is malfunctioning. The wheel sensors control both the abs and the traction control. Have you recently replaced a tire or two? If that is the case you may have a tire size issue. Even a fraction of an inch difference between mixed tires will affect the readings.

Transmission. It's probably got to do with the transaxles, it you're still under warranty get it to your dealer ASAP. Just get it in to a shop or something ASAP, you risk destroying your transmission, and consequently your engine if you continue driving it. For now only braking will affect it, but soon the car won't do anything but shake unless you're at a complete stop.
