How to put freon in a 1998 Honda civic coupe CX?
-
My air condition is not blowing cool air....so i think the car needs freon but I called the shops and they said it would cost around $134 to feel it! I would like to do it myself. Can somebody explain it to me step by step on how to do that?! Thanks in advance

Answer:
You can't. You would have to have a charging/evacuation station, vacuum pump and R134a refrigerant, together with expert knowledge. This is not a DIY job. It can be dangerous and in lots of countries, down right illegal because of the environmental damage caused by opening the system in atmoshpere. Also, if it needs regassing you have a leak, plain and simple and if you don't trace and fix the leak it will need regassing again.
