Is the mass air flow sensor dead?

Cold air intake Mass air flow sensor problem?

I just installed a cold air intake to my car that is made up off three pieces the piece for the mass air flow sensor and a piece for the breather and lastly the cone air filter. what happens when i turn on the car is that my engine shakes and eventually dies. i checked all the connections and hoses every thing is fine and connected nothing is getting pinched. what could cause this problem. The mass air flow sensor is just fine cause i put back my stock filter on for now and no problem. please help. thank you

well the cold air intake is your problem .take it to a shop and have them install it and see what happens . it might also help to let us know what kind of vehicle this thing is going on
