What is the best way to wash my car?

1. Use a soap specifically designed for cars, NOT dishwashing soap as it will strip off wax and dry out any rubber on your car. 2. Use a good washing mitt designed for cars. 3. Get two buckets. First bucket filled with clean water and car wash soap. Second bucket filled with plain, clean water - this will be your rinse bucket for the wash mitt. 4. Thoroughly rinse down your car with water, spraying off as much of the dirt and grime as possible. 5. Start washing with the soapy wash mitt from the TOP of the car down. This avoids rubbing dirt and grime on the paint, producing scratches and swirls. 6. Frequently rinse off the soapy mitt in the clean water bucket to rinse out dirt, rocks, grime etc. 7. Rinse the entire car off from the top to bottom with hose water. 8. Dry the car using soft cotton towels or a waffle weave towel designed for drying paint finishes. Most scratches and swirls are caused by improper washing and drying techniques. Do not use a dish sponge or those red shop towels on your paint surface! You're just asking for swirls and scratches if you do, especially if you have a dark colored car. Of coure, to make your car look even better, you'll need to polish then wax your paint.

Soap and water work wonders!

Fill a bucket with soap and water (I use dish soap like the kind you keep on the counter thats a clearish colored liquid.) Get a CLEAN NEW sponge, (an old one will have dirt and make small abraisions to your car) and then get out a hose. Spray down your car and get it wet all over, then use the soapy sponge to wash all of it. Then rinse it off with the hose again. This is how I always wash it. Some people wax their cars too.

make sure to do it in the shade or at night. that way, the sun won't dry it with soap on it and it won't be streaky. wash it with just soap and water and a soft sponge that won't scratch your car. wash it twice, rinse and dry with towels. don't forget to clean the rims of your tires. then, to make your rims fly, use armor-all on them.
