Where is a good school to learn to become IT?

Is there any programs a 16 year old can take to learn how to become a mechanic other than at school?

  • im 16, and since forever ive always been into cars and engines. Unfortunately, when i tried to sign up for the new horizens mechanics programs, i attempted to late, and couldnt take it. Its a 2 year program so there is no way for me to take it as im going to be a senior next year and wont have the time. So i want to know if theres any programs i can take to learn the skills of repair and (possibly) tuning. Im a quick learner and livd in Virginia, if it matters. Oh and I have a very small background on hondas, helping to install basic bolton performance parts and suspension. Thanks for any input!
