Can I still use electronic fuel injection if I get a supercharger?

What is the chemical composition of jet fuel and can i use it in my car ?

  • i was at a gas station and before i filled up i purchased a bottle of fuel injection cleaner "made from jet fuel" and it didnt list any ingredients? and i was trying to find a web site but didnt get anywhere.

  • Answer:

It is called JP-5 or JP-8. It is kerosene-based and has a max burning temp of around 400 degrees F. It is used for commercial and military turbojet and turboprop aircraft engines. It is really a version of diesel fuel, I wouldn’t advise using it in your car, even if it is a diesel car because your engine won't produce the temperatures needed to burn it efficiently, not to mention start at all...

It would most likely damage your car to use jet fuel in place of gasoline, I see no problem using fuel injection cleaner formulated for use in a car. See link below for information about the composition of jet fuel.

Kerosene. If you wish you can use it.You decide,I'll bet the thing will fly.

Sir Chyver

jet fuel is extremely clean kerosene, with a small amount of additives. so jet fuel is kerosene, that's it. you can't run a gasoline powered car with kerosene.

Jets use a kind of kerosene. Cars can't use it.
