Would a performance chip do anything beneficial for my 2002 Cavalier?

Planning to Put a Performance chip in a 2002 Impala Ls 3800?

• I would like to know what the pro's and cons are for gettting a performance chip. Also where are some good places to buy decent chips at. Any information would be helpful thanks

  these chips have been proven to not work and not do what they claim. The data is based on wot which is wide open throttle and since NONE of us drive around with our foot to the floor that pretty much tells the story. I have read a number of complaints on yahoo answers from check engine lights (most common) to the car refusing to start I would go talk to your mechanic I am pretty sure you will be disappointed in the lack of performance and the same goes for those cold air intakes. Save your money or put a v8 in the car. no offense meant I wanted to put one in my car too and my mechanic told me some horror stories of customers who ignored his advice and messed up thier cars computer. so your choice best of luck
