Does my 1995 Mustang have Keyless Entry?

  • I suspect that the used 1995 Mustang that I recently purchased has a keyless entry receiver. However, I did not get a remote with the car. I know I can order a remote for it. But, before I do that I want to be sure that the car has the reciever built into it AND I would like to be able to test and see if it works before purchasing a remote. Can anyone show me a photo of what it would look like, where it is located? Also, how can I test it? THANKS!

    call the ford dealer with your VIN number and they can tell you if the car has keyless. they will probably have to program the remote for you anyway.

I don't know if your car has the receiver or not but i have seen this done at a dealership to determine if keyless entry is installed stock. All you have to do is put your key in the ignition and turn the key far enough just to turn on radio, don't start it. You need to do this rapidly like 5 or 6 times, if your car has keyless the door locks will automatically lock. If it don't work the first time try it again but maybe more cylces. Just remember you need to do the on off on off quickly in order for the computer to recognize the "door lock test" hope this helps

i don't think the mustang has keyless entry cause it was made in 1995.

I owned brand new 94 Mustang and it had a Keyless Entry; and I suspect that they all did by 1994.

go to your Ford dealer they have all the answers I had a '97 non GT/cobra, it had keyless entry.
