Should I get any work done on my '01 Maxima as winter approaches?
-
I have a 2001 Nissan Maxima with about 67,000 miles on it. I've had very few problems, none of which were engine related. I live in Chicago and it's starting to get cold. As the car is getting a little old, is there any sort of preventative work I should have done on it?

Answer:
Nothing special really needs to be done. When auto shops says you need to "winterize" your car, they are out to get your money. All you really need to do is check your antifreeze (make sure it is full still good), and check the battery if it is the original. Oh and just a point of reference, an '01 model car with under 70,000 miles isnt old. After a couple maintaince checks like this you should be fine
