I'm about to paint my car and I need to know what is a good paint to use.?

I am not looking for cheap paint or really expensive paint, something in the middle with cost. I going for a high gloss black on a 98 Jetta.

Try PPG--I would go with gloss enamel. Then a clear coat. If it were a real looker I would put about 5 coats of lacquer on it--hand rubbed between each coat.
