How to remove minor scratches from my bike?

  • i have some very minor scratches on my bike here and there which could be seen only from very close distances. I heard there are some polishing compounds to remove them. I live in india (chennai) and can anyone tell me the name of such products. Or is there any other alternative that i can do from home.

  • Answer:

    Buy the smallest pack of Wax-pol rubbing compound, take a little and rub over the scratches with a soft cloth. The scratches will disappear. Apply car polish (Waxpol or Formula 1) for a mirror like finish.

It's called simply, Rubbing Compound. Not sure of the exact manufacturer, but it can be found at auto parts stores, hardware stores, and department store automotive sections. Hope that is sufficient. Also, buy the lowest grade for light applications.

there's a very good product from pidilite, the manufacturers of fevicol. it is called as ROBERT'S Liquid Polish. costs @ 40, easy to use and effective. i hv used it myself. hope you wud find it useful too and that the co. recognizes my effort.. just joking. lemme knw.. bye
