Can someone be allergic to peanut butter but not peanuts?

Peanut butter in engine oil.?

  • So I have a 1996 Toyota Supra (the non-turbo one). While I was at work someone apparently got into my engine bay and put peanut butter in the oil (or so I found out after doing and oil change). What's weird is the car runs great, it feels even more powerful ( i have driven it over 5,000 miles with the peanut butter inside the crankcase) . So my questions is this..I want to add peanut butter to my oil this next oil change, but I have no idea how to find out if it was creamy or with peanuts because the engine turned most of what the person put into it into oil and a brown-ish cream. Any thoughts?

  • Answer:

The recommendation for the 2jz engines are 100% unmodified peanut oil. The reason it doesn't break down is because it's a protein based oil, not a fat based oil like corn/lard. If your driving 5,000 miles between changes, and want some more power, why not just remove the air filter too?

You don't have peanut butter in your oil. You have a blown head gasket. That is oil and water mixed, looks like thin peanut butter. Get it fixed. It WILL ruin your motor.

Either you're joking or you are looking at the result of coolant mixing with your engine oil which makes it look kind of like a vanilla or chocolate ( depending on how dark the oil is ) milkshake.

I have no idea why you believe that the peanut butter has made the car run better, i have never heard of this trick, But I would never do it or recommend it. But if you think that i will be beneficial for your car to run with it then go ahead.

Don't do it. Peanut Butter does not help your engine when added to the oil. Even if you feel a performance boost, there is almost defiantly damage being done.

You have a blown head gasket or a cracked head.Don't even consider putting peanut butter in your engine.get it to a good garage before you blow the engine completely.
