Is the texas driving test hard?

Do you have to retake your driving test in texas if you already have an english driving license?

  • Basically i am going to college this year in texas and was wanting to know if i would have to retake my driving test there, having already passed my driving test in the UK? I have also heard that i can just take my UK license and get it changed for a texas license, is this true ETC Many thanks for any answers that are posted this would help me allot as if it is the case i have to take there test i could start revising now.

    You'll probably have to take the test. Most of the driving is the same. But they need to make sure you can drive good the the right side of the road, as well as test you on the meaning of street signs.

Since it is such a huge difference Driving on the Right side etc etc You may want to take Drivers Ed (They may make you anyway) It is a 6 hour online course for Texas it is only $49.95 It is the only state approved 6 hour online for Texas so far (After you finish you take the certificate to them) Since it is online I am thinking you can do it anywhere on the planet

I doubt very much that you could just go in to the Texas license branch and trade your UK license for a Texas one, since there's so much difference between the two countries' driving. Best be prepared to start from the beginning in Texas.
