Why was hyper sonic cancelled?

Why is my previous insurnace stilll snediong me a bill if I cancelled them?

  • I just started a new car insurance with a more affordable provider, which is effective this month on the 19th. The insurance that I've cancelled (liberty mutual) has received my cancellation request in November, but they sent me a December bill. If I cancelled them, then why are they still billing me the same month my new insurnace is billing me? It doesn't make sense to me and I'm not paying two insurances during the same month. I called my preivous provider and they're giving me the runaround. As of now, I'm covered under my new car insurance policy and owe them this month.

  • Answer:

Did you cancel in writing? Did you tell them the exact date you wanted the cancellation to take effect? Did you sign and date your request? Did they acknowledge your request? Were you paying by the month? If you were paying by the month did you agree to a 1 year loan, divided into 12 monthly payments? If you did, you will still owe for the entire year. NEVER NEVER pay by the month unless you know exactly what you are doing. Paying for insurance monthly as opposed to bi-annually or annually is always more expensive and VERY often a rip off. Always pay in advance for the longest term possible. Why aren't you asking your old insurance company this question? Don't you think they will have the best answers?
