Can I drive in Canada with a UK provisional licence?

Can I get my UK driving licence back no problem?

  • I left UK two years ago to work here in Canada. To drive here I had to give my UK licence up and get a Canadian driving licence. I am returning to UK next month, will I be able to get my UK licence back or will I have to take the driving test again? Thanks in advance

  • Answer:

No problem! Simply fill out a DVLA application form and submit your Canadian license or £20 if you have had your Canadian licence stolen or it is lost. If you did not previously have a photo licence you will also need to enclose a passport size photo and show ID. http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/DriverLicensing/NeedANewOrUpdatedLicence/index.htm
