How can I get a Car License?

How can i get the name of the person who hit my car i've only got the license plates?

    Due to the numerous privacy laws, the primary law being a federal law, the Drivers Privacy Protection Act, you don't get the information & cannot get the information. All you can legally do is file a police report for the hit & run, include the registration number & the best description of the vehicle that you can in your report. You then call your insurance agent to file a claim for the hit & run & provide them with the registration number and any case number that the police gave you. Then you follow the instructions of your insurance agent to get your car repaired, etc.

Call the cops and report a hit and run. You will have to report that accident if you want to get any results. Then call your insurance agent for advice. Good luck.

Well, you don't get the name of the person. You file a police report, wait two weeks, and maybe, hopefully, you'll get the name and address of the OWNER of that car. But maybe not, as in some states, the privacy laws will prevent you from getting that. Best file the claim with YOUR insurance, and let THEM chase her down.

File la claim with your insurance company.. they will do all the work for you. You did not say if it was hit and run, or if, perhaps, you just didnt get the info... If you wish, you can also file a police report and they PD will contact the person and then provide you with the contact information. BUT.. you pay your insurance company to do this work for you so why not let them.?. It wont cost you a dime.

there is a thing out there called Car fax never used it though, but i hear if u put the Licence plate or car VIN Number, it can give you the whole thing about the car, evan the owner's name.
