What is the best way to study for public examination?

DO I have to make an appointment at the DMV just so I can retake my provisional driver's examination?

  • You see, the first time I went to the DMV I had to take the provisional driver's examination so can pass and get behind the wheel. Unfortuantely, I failed the test pretty badly, so I had to study throughout the week to catch up and still am. But I was wondering do I still have to make an appointment just to take the test or can I just walk in and go retake it again without no appointments, especially since Im not making appointments for getting a drivers license or reigstration and Im just working my way to become a new driver? I've tried calling the DMV so I can ask about this question but they always seem to be busy so I can never really get to talk to anyone on the phone or I cant email them I believe, so thats why I should probably ask here instead. Thank you all so much for your help, I really need to find out about this because school is going to start pretty soon and I have to get this out of the way as soon as possible.

  • Answer:

Normally, written tests do not require an appointment.
