Can I drive in the U.S. with a military driver's license?

Someone knows if I can drive in the US with a mexican drivers license?

  • I'll be moving to Houston TX next month and I want to know if I can drive a car with Texas plates with a Mexican driver license before I get a Texas driver license? If so, for how much time?

    As long as you are in the country LEGALLY as a short term visitor, then yes... You can use your Mexican license to drive. You'll probably need proof that you are here legally too.

I don't think you even need a license if you aren't An American citizen. They won't detain you. Heard it on the news this morning and just read an article from a year ago about it. Different states might act differently but Arizona has been swatted down by the federal govt for detaining people over this.
