Lost my drivers license?

Lost/Stolen drivers license in Mass?

  • I had a Texas drivers license, moved to Mass and my license was either lost or stolen. i am not going back to TX and would like to know how it is possible to obtain a replacement/new license, without taking a roadtest or going through the long process again. i have tied filing for a lost/stolen license on the website for TX but i must apply in person. MA is no help it seems either.

  • Answer:

Well since the state of TX probably isnt aware you moved, just call the DMV and request a copy of your DL online. If you have no warrants or unpaid tickets they should send it out to you. Just send it to your previous address and it should be forwarded to your new one if you used a change of address form at the post office. I think you have 3 months from the time you move to obtain a DL from the state to which you moved and get your car registered in that state. If its a small town they will give you hell. In a big city no one is likely to notice.
