Cheap UK car insurance for 22yr old?

I would recommend the pru! My girlfriend is 22 and has 0 NCB. She was with Swinton who were awful. The price they gave was awful. We looked aroun d on many sites and found the pru to provide everything she wanted at the best price. One thing i would say is avoid the sites like tesco / asda etc, also the compare websites. It's cheaper to go direct to each insurer. Easiest thing is make a list of all the car insurances companies you can find (do a google search) and do an online quote for each, writing down the details. When you have done all of them see which is best., Just becuase you get a quote, you are under no obligation to take them up on the quote.

I am 22, & I have been insured for the past 3 years with Elephant.com. They are very reasonable & specialise in young male drivers. I am insuring fast 'dangerous' cars (106 gti & VW gti) & still under £650 . Bell & Admiral are owned by same company as elephant, so their prices are normally very close. Hope they help Matt. it will depend on the vehicle and the area you live in, but basically you will pay a fortune to any insurance co. that takes you on

Go to a shop-front broker rather than an online company. He /she may find a company who will give a discount on a (presumably)! good driving record.. I've saved 30% on premiums that way.

I got a good deal for my son on moneysupermarket.com I think some of the other search sites have too close alliances with their own insurance companies?
