Truck drivers how much?

How much truck drivers make monthly when they own the truck and when they are not?

  I'm an owner operator (own my own truck-O/O). As an O/O, it all depends on what kind of trucking you do, do you have your own authority, who are you signed onto, what rates do they pay, how much do you work, etc. I generally grossed $2500 per week, but after fuel, brought home (pre net) usually around $1400-$1800 per week. Keep in mind this is all before repairs, PM's, tires, taxes, etc etc. I haven't driven a company truck for about 6 yrs now, but from what I have seen, company drivers are doing just as well now as O/O's are (net). ......Gross doesn't matter, net does....just keep that in mind. I think most co drivers bring home around $800-$1500 per week (depending on what they're doing). Fuel is the biggest expense for O/O now. It has literally MORE that doubled since 9/11. Prior to 9/11 I was paying around $1.10-$1.14 per gallon, after 9/11, fuel prices dropped to under $1.00 per gallon, now they fluctuate daily, around $2.50-$2.90 per gallon, in the areas I travel.
