Where can I get a drivers booklet?

Process to get driver's licenses?

  • first you get a booklet from DMV that gives you all the rules on the road, right? after you read the book, you schedule an appointment to take the test for your permit? what age do you have to be in order to take the test? then afterwards, what do i do? how old do you have to be in order for you to start learning how to drive from your parents? i'm currently a senior who is almost 17 in october and i am confused about the process of getting your drivers licenses. i want to be able to drive before i go to college next year. what do i do? please help. and thanks ahead of time for your advice. :]

  • Answer:

First, you have to take a drivers ed course. Then, when you're 15, you can take the written test to get your permit. You drive with your parents for a time, then you go take the actual drivers test to get a license. If you're 18, though, you can skip all that stuff with the permit and just take the driving test to get a license
