Will my speeding ticket raise my insurance?

Got a speeding ticket in Oregon, can I go to traffic school so my insurance company will not raise my policy?

  • I know in California you can go to traffic school once every 18 month and the insurance company will not raise your rates, is that the same for Oregon, and how do I go about it?

  • Answer:

Also, before taking the course, make sure you call your insurance company and see if it will even help. If you're under 25, or over 55, it will help here. If you're anywhere inbetween, it does no good to take it. But that's just here. It may be different everywhere else. Good Luck!

Whether you decide to take an online course such as Driving University or a normal classroom traffic school, be sure to check with your court to make sure they'll accept it for point reduction or ticket dismissal. I live in Oregon and they are pretty decent as long as you are polite to them The link below will give you the info you are looking for

You should be able to take traffic school online to avoid points on your liscense and rate increases. Call the number on the back of the ticket and they can answer your questions regarding setting it up.
