I have a question about my drivers license.

Drivers License question?

  • I moved Pennsyvlania from massachusetts in february. In march I got arrested for DUI. In july I went before the judge and he took my license away for 60 days which was completed this past sunday. I paid the fines in full and completed all other requirements from my arrest. However I never got a pennsyvlania license because I got arrested so soon after moving here that I figured I mine as well wait til I was able to get my license back before I got a PA license. Can i drive legally in PA now with only a massachusetts license or should I go get a PA license ASAP ????

Get it transferred ASAP. You only have so many days to transfer your DL and Tags from one state to another when moving. The longer you wait the bigger the penalty( in money). And it is on record that you were there in march, you should really have transferred them before you went to court. Just be prepared to pay more.

you are supposed to change license with 6months of changing residence to another state

You're in a real perdictament here! First, it's 30 days residency not 6 months and I also believe PA and MA are reciprocating states which in laymen terms means you may have to go back to MA to straighten out your mess before you will be able to conduct business with the PA DMV! Ma probably also has your license as "suspended or revolked for "DUI"!
