Hardship license help?

A hardship license? (ARKANSAS)?

  • I was just wondering about getting a hardship license? Like, I live in Arkansas, and I'm about to go take the written part of the driving exam in a few days. What I was wondering is how do you obtain a hardship? There are rumors going around at my school that you have to take a driving part to get a hardship. I just want the hardship so I can drive back and forth from home and school. I don't know if the driving part is legit or if your parent's just have to fill out papers. The dean of students at my school didn't say anything about an actualy DRIVING part. I am 14. But I KNOW for a fact that other students here have a hardship. But any help would be nice!

  • Answer:

You won't get a license for driving to school. If you live that far away, you take the bus. Hardship licenses are for driving a disabled parent to the doctors or hospital, not school. Better check those licenses that you KNOW these other people have because I doubt it. Very hard to get this type license and you need really good reasons for them. Also very restrictive as far as when you can drive.
