Can i get a certified replacement birth certificate from the dmv?

I need a birth certificate to get a passport and a copy isn't good enough. I need the passport by mid feb. so obviously i need the birth certificate asap.

You would need to contact the department of vital records in the state you were born. They will have you fill out some paperwork and usually they charge a fee to process and mail you a copy. If you live in the state you were born in, you can sometimes pick it up. You would need the birth certificate to have the raised seal in order to get your passport. Good Luck!!
