How Do I Get a California Drivers License?? Help?

• okay so im trying to get a permit for a California drivers license, i am 16 Years old. But i am confused about: "DRIVERS EDUCATION" and "DRIVER TRAINING" is drivers training the same thing as the Driving test for your license? Is it Before or AFTER the permit? And what about Drivers Education? is Drivers Education After the permit, or before to get the permit? Thanks!! Copies obtained by xeroxing, faxing, or other methods will not be accepted.) * Have your parents’ or guardians’ signatures on the application form DL 44 * Give a thumb print * Have your picture taken * Provide your social security number. It will be verified with the Social Security Administration while you are in the office. * Verify your birth date and legal presence * “Provide your true full name if your name no longer matches the name on your birth date legal presence document.” * Submit the proper form(s) for driver education and/or driver training classes (See below for details.) * Pay the application fee (This fee entitles you to three exams of any type within the 12-month period and pays for both the instruction permit and the driver license.   Before you do anything, you have to take drivers education which is where you learn the laws and simple stuff. After you get your drivers education certificate which is the (DL 387 or OL 237) you will also have to have the certificate for drivers training [you have to get the certificate before you start the training] (DL 392 or OL 392) then you would go to the DMV and take your written test to receive your permit. Once you get your permit you would have to take drivers training where you would have to do 6 hours behind the wheel training with a professional which ranges from $ 120 - 300, just depends on where you live. Drivers education is before and drivers training is after but you still have to get both certificates when you go to the DMV. hope this helped !
