In Ohio how old do i need to be to get my permit then drivers license?

    you have to be at least 15 for your permit and have your permit for at least one year before you can get your drivers license. to get your permit, you must pass a drivers ed. class. this consists of 30 hours of class and 6 hours of on road driving with a certified driver that is in the driving system (not your parents). then you can get your permit which will allow you to drive from 5:30 am to 9pm only in-state and with a license driver that has held a license for at least 5 years. then after a year of that, you can get your restricted license. for the first 6 months, you can drive from 5:30am to 9pm by yourself and out of state. then after 6 months of that, you can get your graduated license and drive anywhere, anytime, with anyone. have fun driving!

IIRC, you must be 16 to get your permit, and you must take driver's education to get your license before you are 18.

In Ohio, you can get a permit if you are 15-1/2 and your license at 16 if you have held the permit for 6 months and you have completed an Approved driver education course.
