How can medical insurance rates go down?

California mat do away with mandatory auto insurance. How much will rates go up?

  • The insurance industry has already said they will raise rates. A few years ago when insurance became mandatory, they raised the rates too. As much as 100%. What's your guess as to how badly the will gouge their customers this time?

    My guess is that they will go up another 100% if the measure passes and 50% if if does not.

l doubt they will ever repeal mandatory auto insurance. At the moment, l think you are reading too much into it., wait & see what happens.

I see on the internet there is a bill that could allow uninsured drivers in CA, and a group called For America Now is getting signatures for an initiative to repeal auto mandatory insurance. Do you know anything about this group, I can't find it on the internet. But I have done three studies and they all show there are a lot of people on food stamps due to mandatory auto insurance, when they finally total all of these up, I would think they would find a different wan to pay for accidents. A food stamp survey done in Billings, MT,. by the Montana DPHHS, showed 12 of the 96 food stamp applicants said auto insurance was a reason for needing food stamps.
