What to do with a limo for 4 hours?

Do you usually have to pay for the hours you are at prom when renting a limo?

  • My prom starts at 7pm but I want the limo to pick me up at 6. It ends at 12 but I will probably be home around 1 am. I am not sure if I have to pay for the hours that I will be at prom. I know that most limo services have a minimum of 3 or 4 hours, but that is still better than 7 hours.

Hi, Julia! Your limo service starts at the time you are picked up and ends when you returned home. If there are multiple pick-ups, it starts with the first pick-up and will end with the last drop off. You might be able to negotiate with the limo company to pay just for the time to pick-up and drop off. Otherwise, you pay for the whole time between first pick-up and last drop off. Each company is different, so shop around. Ask if you can pay the minimum rate (usually 3 hrs) for just the pick up and drop off. All the best.

You will have to pay for the hours at prom, the minimum hours for prom can be between 6-8 hours depending on the limousine company. You're right about the 3-4 hours minimum on most other occasions (except special occasions like proms, new years eve, any occasion where the market for limos are high then the minimum hours go up drammatically), however, by 3-4 hours minimum isn't staggered hours, it's 3-4 hour in a block of time.

You should save money by driving yourself or getting a ride. My 2 cents.
