Do you always mean something when you hold someone very tight?

What does hold mean wen i ring to someone?

    Hold means that there are other people on the line to the vets and you have to wait in line while the queue is sorted out.. This happens not just at the vets but with any organisation.There may be dozens of people phoning at the same time for what ever reason, and the person(s) on the end can't cope with handling, and put you on hold. Sometimes its better to ring off and try again say in 30 minutes to see if the line is not so busy. This is normal practise for them to put you on hold, its a nuisance, and quite annoying to say the least, and nobody likes it but it happens. givemestrength

I cannot believe that the education system has sunk so low that people cannot understand the spoken word,and then again I do.It simply means she is on another call and you have to wait your turn, the music lets you know you have not been disconnected.

is this a serious question or are u a troll???? if ur serious it means u got put on hold while they either finished with the customer in front of them or got whoever u needed to talk to.....it is common practice with any business u phone......

Hi Kasia, If you call someone, and they say "I'll just put you ON-HOLD", it means they are checking your details with them, or finding the right person to deal with your account, or your question. They often play you "holding-music", whilst you wait.
