What is a good place to live close to London when you work at Piccadily Circus and your partner in Maidenhead?
-
Anybody else in the same situation who may have some advice? New to the country we used to both work in Maidenhead but now I have changed jobs and work close to Piccadily Circus. I guess commuting out of London is easier so we are looking for a green area but with still an easy commute to Maidenhead.

Answer:
It depends on whether you're commuting by train or car. Loads of people commute from Maidenhead to central London by train, so you could just live there. Ealing is a good half-way point, great rail/tube plus some greenery. If you're commuting to Mhead by car, west london (e.g. Chiswick) is good for the M4/A4 and not too shabby. But you don't get really green until you get outside of the M25 unless the area is really expensive.
