What is the best way to get rid of nerves before a test?

How do u not let your nerves get to you on your driving test?

  • i took my 1st test last year and failed. i had an examiner and her boss in the car. my test is in 3 days and my nerves are worse this time compared to last. how can i chill out about it?

  • Answer:

First off relax, the more nervous you are the more likely you will mess up. do a lot of driving. the more you drive the easier it will be. also get to your testing area sooner and drive around a little bit. look for things that might be important in the test e.g. street signs. make sure that your car is in good working order. Try your best if you fail it is ok you will get to re test in a few weeks.

I just convinced myself that i was going to pass and failure wasnt an option after a while even i believed it. I turned up to the test centre totally relaxed cause i knew i would pass annyway and i did 1st time. Easy really dont worry about it.

Ask yourself what the worst thing could be if you failed - but you are not going to fail are you, just listen to the examiner and drive Good Luck

Dont be so hell bent on passing, what will you REALLY gain from all of this? Failing is not the end of the world, most people have two or three goes at it. And you will get there too. Just be yourself, relax and if you pass, you pass, if you fail, just take the test again next month, not the end of the world is it? Good luck x x .

Practice, practice, practice. The more familiar with something you are, the less nervous you will be. It's called, "the fear of the unknown." _ _ _ _ _

Try to remember that your instructor wouldn't have suggested the test if he/she didn't think you were good enough. The examiner's not out to get you, if you're up to standard you'll pass, as simple as that. If you don't understand what he or she has said, ask, they don't mind! Have your breakfast before you go, take a walk to get some fresh air and work some of the tensions out. Remind yourself that you ARE good,or you wouldn't be doing it otherwise. I wouldn't recommend any sort of chemical assistance!

I was really nervous when I sat my driving test (8 years ago). Failed twice, largely due to nerves. My driving instructor suggested I ask the doctor to prescrible me beta blockers. It worked - passed third time round!
