Columbia, MD and Tysons Corner, VA - midway point?
-
My boyfriend works in northern Columbia, MD and I work in Tysons Corner, VA. We're looking for a new apartment together and have been considering Silver Spring, though I've heard that 495 is ghastly in the mornings. Any recommendations on midway points with relatively OK commutes in both directions?

Answer:
I'm not a local, but drove the Beltway several times...no "easy" commute any way you look at it. Judge a place by how much you like it - if Silver Spring works for you go for it (there is a Metro stop there too). You want to choose a place that works for you even if one of you moves to a new job - say Downtown DC or Greenbelt.
