2008 Honda Accord EX-L coupe OR 2008 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE coupe?

• I'm turning 17 in January, and I will be getting my first car. Both of these cars are within my budget..*I will be buying pre-owned* So far I really like the honda accord because of it's reliability, nice look, and resale value. But the Nissan Altima looks and feels like its a fun car to drive. As of right now I think I might go with the Accord. What do you recommend? Hows the insurance gonna be on these cars? and are these good first cars for a teen? Thanks.

  I would buy the Honda as it is the better car. BUT the engine size will be a problem when considering insurance. You may find you can afford the car but not the insurance as it will be loaded due to your age and inexperience and the engine size of the car. In fact neither of them are really suitable as a first car for a teen due to the insurance cost and the engine size which is way too big for an inexperienced driver to handle. Why do you think that most accidents on the roads involve young people who are new to driving? Go for something a bit more modest but still stylish eg VW Golf. Then you will have some money left over to pay for insurance.
