What's the process of leasing a car?

Whats the process for buying a car in Toronto, Ontario?

• I'm gonna be taking a look at this Mazda dealership with my parents for my first car. Once the car has been paid for, what must happen up until the moment I can drive off the lot? I'm sort of confused by the process. 1) Does the dealership register the car with the province and get license plates on-site? Or do I have to do it on my own time? 2) Since i've never been insured, will there be too much of a hassle to set up a new plan? Or did I have to call a company first and set it up prior to visiting the dealership. I know I'll be guided through the process tomorrow by the salesmen, but I just need to know what to expect since I'm at a loss. Thanks for the help!

  The dealership will look after the registration and licencing although they will charge you for it. You will need to arrange insurance and get them to send proof of coverage to the dealership for them to get your plates.
