Honda Civic Type R for new driver?

Yeah. I bet you can afford the insurance. No company in their right mind will insure you in that at your age. Get real!

Not recommended for a first car, have driven one and you would be amazed how quick they can be, from nought mph to hit the back of the car in front in half a second , also lots of wheel spin if not careful and that's in the dry...so get something to get used to the road conditions which is not as powerful...OK?

You may be able to afford the insurance but when you try to get cover the insurance company will refuse to cover you as you are inexperienced.

The civic type r is nice. I like the ep3 model 2002-2005. Your in the UK. Over.here in the states we got the same body style ours was the si model. I have one. It's A nice design . I replaced the k20a3 motor for a k20a2 out of an acura/Honda Integra type r. With the 6 speed manual tranny. I love it. You should get it since you can get a real type R. If your talking about the Newer type r. I don't like it. Watch the top gear episode where Jeremy Clarkson compares both civic type r's. Mines black. I got a cold air intake, rbc intake manifold, bisimoto header, and apexi ws2 full cat back exhaust. No air conditioner tuned on hondata dynoed 235 whp.
