Has anyone heard of a company called "Standard Financial Inc."?

Has anyone heard of an auto shipping company called WCS Shippers, Inc? Am I being scammed?

  • I've tried searching for them online and nothing relevant really comes up. This guy is trying to sell us a car and "recommended" them, but I think it's a straight up scam. He claims he "moved" to Italy and needs to get rid of the car for very cheap because he couldn't afford to keep it there. A red flag came up when the company wanted only money wired through Western Union, and all the emails he's sent has been very similar to the fraud emails posted on cars.com. I've looked up the domain and it said it was created about 5 days ago.... for a company that's been around since 1954, I would think that they'd have an established domain name long before then, especially if they are "the best". I really believe that this guy is a fraud. What do you think? And who should I report him to if he is? I know that this is probably a duh answer, but I wanted to post to make sure that others are knowledgeable about this also and don't get scammed!

If the domain was created just 5 days ago & not 5 years ago, I would say that there's a 95% chance that this is a scam. I don't know who you would report it to, unless you got a letter via snail mail, then you could report it to the US Postal Service.....

Complete SCAM. Stop discussing this transaction immediately before you lose your money. Anyone who wants you to wire money, because he's out of the country for a car you can't see is trying to steal your money. Don't be a fool.

Scam. He is offering you something too good to be true, right? Don't waste your time doing searches or reporting them to any authorities. Just drop it. I was selling a car on Autotrader, and a number of scammers contacted me with the overpay scam. Think about it, if someone moved overseas they would just go to a few dealers and take what they could get, or title the car to a friend and let them sell it. Happens all the time. a>

I have used this shipping company when i got my car from Germany. They asked me to pay by Western Union too, because they told me that in this way they can start shipping the car faster. I was a little nervous about that, but I've made the payment and everything was ok. They moved my car very fast and their services were very good for me. I don't know what to tell about the person that is trying to sell the car to you, but if you are not feeling comfortable with the deal, drop it and search for a car in your area.

WCS probably is a legite company, I would go to BBB.com and look up there info and use that contact info, alot of scammers, not saying this guy is one but, they will use legit companies and references to make their scam go on as they plan, I listen to my gut instinct before anything else, and this story sounds fishy, plus I had 2 cars moved, and one was 50/50 half at first, and half when delivered, and other I paid guy when he delivered, just be carefull, and I would do my homework before doing any deal, good luck
