Is a 2005-2006 Nissan Altima a good car?

Which car should I choose: Nissan Altima or Honda Accord (years 2005-2006)?

• My dad is buying me my first car and I don't know which one to choose. The choices he's giving me are Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima, or Honda Accord, mainly because those cars are known for their reliability and safety. He's looking at used cars in the years 2005-2006. Any choice would also have the 4 cylinder, not the V6. I have gotten it down to the Nissan Altima or Honda Accord, because I think the Toyota Camry is bland and boring, and like every family in America has one. But I don't know which to pick from the Nissan Altima or Honda Accord. I really like the Nissan Altima's styling, but, on the other hand, Honda's are usually well-built cars. Could you please tell me your opinion, and which you would choose in this situation? And tell me why you would choose that car over the other. Thanks.

  Style- Nissan Altima. Reliability- Honda. But a 4cyl. engine? I would go with the Honda Accord. I just trust that name more than the other. Its a tough pickle, but hey how do you see yourself driving it in 5 years. If reliability is not an issue past those 5 yrs. just go with the styling........ Or just get a 2007 honda civic which is a better entry level car for you and as or more safe than those you mentioned......good luck
