Where do Car Dealerships Advertise?

I want to buy a new car ... now what?

  • Thank you for your help! I am buying my very first car at 27 years old! FINALLY! Yet ... I am clueless about the process. Once I look around and find the car I want to buy ... then what? Do I buy the car first? Or do I buy insurance first? How do I go about getting the title and license? How do I get a license plate? Will the dealership handle all that? How much does a car REALLY come to? The dealerships advertise their cars at one price, but always have a disclaimer that it does not include the license, tax, registration, and freight costs. How much do those things typically cost? Also, I have bad credit, which is what -- among other things -- have prevented me from buying a new car before. I live in Erie, PA. What kind of APR do you think I will end up with?

  • Answer:

insurance is based off the car or truck you buy - if you will need to find an insurance agent or talk to your parents insurance agent -not sure if you can get a policy prior but the dealership will be contacting them with the car info the price depends on what you buy a new car or a used car freight cost is associated to a new car license plate and registration is taken car of at the dealership (approx $50) The tax will be based off the price of the car. The APR is based off you credit score and how long of a loan you want. there is also extended warranty ($1500) if you chose that. You will not need any of the "extras" they offer
